Who We Are

The mission of TAKIF! is to shed Hope and a solid foundation of knowledge upon those that lack the direction to search for these necessary tools. We seek to ensure not only quality of life, but we strive to provide an outlet necessary to be successful in life and contribute to a budding, thriving, healthy community for the future.

The Commitment behind the mission:

We seek to make sure that our youth are empowered with knowledge required for successful advancement. The youth are our future, our Hope, and our Strength. We are committed to ensure that the next generation of youth is able to proudly represent us in the future in the quest to cultivate an educated, motivated, and dedicated society.

The Vision: TAKIF! sets its sights on maximizing the true potential of all of our youth. We feel that through our efforts, children will have the ultimate opportunity. We plan on our havens to provide ample support in the areas where it is needed the most.

We will accomplish this Mission by:

*Providing a PLACE where our youth can feel safe.

*Providing a PLACE where our youth will not only be educated, but appreciated.

*Giving everyone the opportunity to gain what they need most to ensure a healthy foundation.

*Providing a stable environment where our youth are put FIRST and their needs met.

*Opening the doors to a wealth of resources that will enable our youth to expose their true potential and achieve all of the goals they set out to!

Historical Background:

An idea which was conceived in 2009, was structured and organized by one of New York City’s own great budding, young intellects of our era- Allen Kinard. Having persevered through immense hardship and a tough upbringing- TAKIF was born.

Having triumphed over many of the pitfalls that life can put in front of one- Founder, CEO, President and Child Advocate- Allen Kinard understands the way to win- this through investing in the bright young minds of the future. The mission, the commitment, and the vision help foster what our work and service in the communities the can benefit the most. In turn, this will round off a healthier, and self-sustaining generation.
